In correspondence sent to the Research Directorate on 18 January 2005, a representative from the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Ottawa provided the following information on Palestinians who hold travel documents:

[...] All travel document holders must fulfill the following requirements to be able to enter Jordan:

1.

A [...] travel document [valid for at least six months] from the day of entry

2.

A valid residency in any country (to prove their ability to re-enter [...])

3.

A valid visa issued by any Jordanian Embassy. This visa [is subject] to [...] [previous] approval from the Jordanian authorities in Amman.

These rules apply [to] all travel document holders, regardless [of] their original nationality or the country that issued the travel documents for them.

Therefore, the representative did not corroborate the claim that Jordan denies entry to any Palestinian refugee holding travel documents from any other Arab country.
