Local officials say a suicide blast has killed a soldier and a policeman, and injured three others in Afghanistan's southern province of Helmand.
Omar Zwak, a provincial government spokesman said a suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the entrance of the police headquarters on October 11 in the regional capital, Lashkar Gah.
Zwak said the bomber, dressed in a police uniform, attempted to enter the building when police identified him.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
The group has stepped up its attacks on Afghan security forces as foreign combat troops prepare to withdraw by the end of the year.
A Taliban suicide car bomber targeted a former police chief in Lashkar Gah on October 7, killing five people.
