In einem Dokument des Amts der Vereinten Nationen für die Koordinierung humanitärer Angelegenheiten (UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UN OCHA) vom April 2017 wird erwähnt, dass der Distrikt Khewa in der Provinz Nangarhar auch als Kuzkunar bekannt sei:

„The Gambiri desert lies approximately 30 kilometers outside of Jalalabad city, between Khewa (Kuzkunar) district of Nangarahar and Qaraghae district of Laghman provinces. It is hot and susceptible to blinding sandy wind storms blown up from the earth.“ (UN OCHA, 30. April 2017, S. 2)

Distrikt Khewa

Die unabhängige afghanische Nachrichtenagentur Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) berichtet im September 2017, dass die BewohnerInnen des Distrikts Khewa in der Provinz Nangarhar gegen die Tötung eines Zivilisten durch die afghanische Lokalpolizei (Afghan Local Police, ALP) demonstriert hätten. Die Demonstrierenden hätten den Sarg der getöteten Person vor dem Haus des Gouverneurs in der Provinzhauptstadt Jalalabad abgestellt:

„The residents of Khewa district in eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday protested against the killing of a civilian by Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel. The protesting residents brought along the coffin of the slain person and placed it in front of the governor’s house in Jalalabad, the provincial capital. Mohammad Yousuf, brother of the slain man, said his brother had no enmity and was killed for no crime and the murderers had fled the area.“ (PAN, 19. September 2017a)

Die afghanische Online-Zeitung Khaama Press (KP) erwähnt in einem Artikel vom März 2017, dass afghanische Spezialkräfte einen Einsatz im Distrikt Khewa in Nangarhar durchgeführt hätten. Der Einsatz sei im Haus eines Bankers erfolgt. Es sei nach Terroristen des Islamischen Staates gesucht worden:

„The Afghan Special Forces have reportedly carried out an operation on a banker’s house in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in search of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists. According to the local government officials in Nangarahr, the operation was conducted late on Tuesday night in Khewa district.” (KP, 29. März 2017)

PAN erwähnt im März 2017 ebenfalls den Einsatz im Distrikt Khewa. Drei Menschen seien getötet und zehn weitere Vereltzt worden. Der nächtliche Einsatz sei im Gebiet Koti Taran erfolgt:

„Three people were killed and more than 10 others arrested during a raid by security force on the residence of a senior banker in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday. […] The midnight operation took place in Koti Taran area of Khewa district. Ahmadzai’s sons, brothers, nephews and a gust were arrested during the raid, Khogyani said, without giving more information.” (PAN, 30. März 2017)

Auch der afghanische Nachrichtensender Tolo News erwähnt im März 2017 eine Razzia im Distrikt Khewa in Nanagarhar, bei der mindestens drei Menschen getötet und ein weiterer verletzt worden seien:

At least three people were killed and another was injured in a night raid in eastern Nangarhar province’s Khewa district on Tuesday night, eyewitnesses said on Wednesday.” (Tolo News, 29. März 2017)

Jalalabad

Im Folgenden finden Sie Informationen aus im Jahr 2017 von der unabhängigen afghanischen Nachrichtenagentur Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) veröffentlichten Artikeln:

 

Bei zwei Vorfällen im September 2017 seien in der Provinz Nangarhar zwei Polizisten und ein Beamter von Unbekannten erschossen worden. Die zwei Polizisten seien im Gebiet Angor Bagh in Jalalabad und der Beamte im Distrikt Batikot erschossen worden:

„Two policemen and a land authority officer have been shot dead by unidentified gunmen in two separate incidents in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday. Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that two police personnel were gunned down by unknown armed men in Angor Bagh area of Jalalabad, the provincial capital on Tuesday evening. […] Elsewhere in the province, Khogyani said a land authority officer named Sarajudding was gunned down by an unidentified man traveling with the officer in his car as passenger in Barikab area of Batikot district on Tuesday.“ (PAN, 27. September 2017)

Ebenfalls im September 2017 seien bei einer Razzia von Spezialkräften in Jalalabad drei ZivilistInnen getötet worden. Laut einem Zeugen sei die Razzia im falschen Haus durchgeführt worden:

„Afghan Special Forces killed three civilians during a raid on a home in the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, witnesses said on Friday. One of the witnesses told Pajhwok Afghan News on the condition of anonymity that the special forces mistakenly raided a wrong home. He said the forces opened fire at people who had gathered at the home. The dead included a Nangarhar customs official, a driver of former president Hamid Karzai and another official.” (PAN, 22. September 2017a)

Auch im September 2017 sei bei einer Bombenexplosion in einem Gemüsegeschäft in Jalalabad ein Zivilist getötet worden und acht weitere seien verwundet worden:

„One civilian was killed and eight others were wounded on Wednesday when a bomb went off inside a vegetable shop in the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said. The blast took place in Malocho Street in the jurisdiction of 4th municipal district of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital, at around 3pm, the governor’s spokesman said.” (PAN, 13. September 2017)

Im Februar 2017 seien zwei Stammesälteste von Unbekannten im Gebiet Majboorabad in Jalalabad getötet worden:

„Two tribal elders were killed by unidentified gunmen in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Tuesday, an official said. Yar Mohammad and Haji Seddiq from Chaparhar district were gunned down in Majboorabad area of the city at 8am, the governor’s spokesman said.” (PAN, 28. Februar 2017)

Im Jänner 2017 sei bei einer Bombenexplosion in Jalalabad ein Zivilist getötet und ein weiterer verletzt worden:

„A civilian was killed and seven others injured in two separate explosions in eastern Nangarhar and central Parwan provinces on Thursday, officials said. Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News one civilian was killed and another wounded when a magnetic bomb attached to their car went off in Jalalabad, the provincial capital this morning.” (PAN, 5. Jänner 2017)

Im Oktober 2017 erwähnt PAN, dass hunderte Familien aufgrund von Kämpfen zwischen Aufständischen der Taliban und des Islamischen Staates im Distrikt Khogyani in Nangarhar vertrieben worden seien:

Hundreds of families have been displaced due to fresh fighting between Taliban and Daesh (Islamic State) rebels in the Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.” (PAN, 18. Oktober 2017)

Im Distrikt Haska Mena in Nangarhar seien drei Brüder bei einer Bombenexplosion getötet worden:

„Three brothers have been killed as a result of a bomb blast in the Haska Mena district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.” (PAN, 14. Oktober 2017)

In den Distrikten Haska Mena und Ghanikhel seien 24 Aufständische der Taliban und des Islamischen Staates bei Zusammenstößen mit Sicherheitskräften und Luftangriffen getötet worden:

Twenty-four Taliban and Daesh militants have been killed during clashes with security forces and airstrikes in Haska Mena and Ghanikhel districts of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.” (PAN, 13. Oktober 2017)

Im Distrikt Behsud in Nangarhar sei ein religiöser Gelehrter von Unbekannten erschossen worden:

Unknown gunmen shot dead a religious scholar in Behsud district of eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday evening, an official said.” (PAN, 12. Oktober 2017)

Bei Sicherheitseinsätzen in den Distrikten Haska Mena und Batikot seien vier Aufständische des Islamischen Staates und zwei der Taliban getötet worden:

Four Daesh and two Taliban militants have been killed during ongoing security operations in eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Wednesday. […] The Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News the ground and air assaults were being conducted in Haska Mena and Batikot districts of the province.” (PAN, 11. Oktober 2017)

Laut einem weiteren Artikel sei eine Frau getötet worden, nachdem pakistanische Sicherheitskräfte Dutzende Raketen in den Distrikt Achin in Nangarhar abgefeuert hätten:

„A woman was killed after Pakistani security forces fired dozens of rockets into Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, an official said.“ (PAN, 5. Oktober 2017)

Das pakistanische Militär habe etwa 100 Raketen in verschiedene Gebiete der Provinz Nangarhar abgefeuert:

„The Pakistani military have fired around 100 rockets into different areas of eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Wednesday.“ (PAN, 4. Oktober 2017)

Die Polizei habe innerhalb von sechs Tagen 40 Einzelpersonen, darunter zehn Aufständische des Islamischen Staates in der Provinz Nangarhar verhaftet:

„Police have arrested 40 individuals, including 10 Daesh militants, during the past six days in eastern Nangarhar province, the provincial police chief said on Tuesday. Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi told a press conference here that police had also confiscated 18 different weapons during the period. As a result of police’s efforts, 30 individuals were detained on various charges during special operations, investigations and patrols. ‘The detainees include 20 individuals accused of kidnappings, murders, robberies and mugging, four of them are Taliban insurgents, a four-member kidnap gang and a group of murderers headed by Asif and two other suspects.’” (PAN, 3. Oktober 2017)

In einem von PAN im September 2017 veröffentlichten Artikel wird erwähnt, dass pakistanische Streitkräfte mindestens 37 Mörsergranaten über die Grenze in Ortschaften des Distrikts Nazyan in Nagarhar abgefeuert hätten. Dabei seien zwei Kinder getötet und drei weitere verwundet worden:

Two children were killed and three others wounded after Pakistani forces fired more than three dozens of mortar shells into eastern Nangarhar province. At least 37 mortars were fired from across the border into Spinajai, Sapo, Mastal Kandaw, Darosar and Babil villages of Nazyan district from 12pm till 6pm yesterday, the governor’s spokesman said.” (PAN, 22. September 2017b)

Zwei Kämpfer der pakistanischen Gruppe Lashkar-i-Islam und zwei Aufständische der Taliban seien bei NATO-Luftangriffen in den Distrikten Achin und Batikot in Nangarhar getötet worden:

„Two Pakistani militant group, Lashkar-i-Islam, and as many Taliban insurgents have been killed in NATO drone airstrikes in Achin and Batikot districts of eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Tuesday.” (PAN, 19. September 2017b)

Im September 2017 erwähnt der afghanische Nachrichtensender Tolo News, dass bei afghanischen Luftangriffen neun Aufständische des Islamischen Staates im Distrikt Achin in Nangarhar getötet worden seien:

Nine Daesh insurgents were killed in an Afghan Air Forces airstrike on Sunday which targeted militant hideouts in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province.” (Tolo News, 18. September 2017)

Im Juli 2017 berichtet Tolo News, dass im Gebiet Arghach im Distrikt Khogyani in Nangarhar ein Stammesältester bei der Explosion einer am Straßenrand platzierten Bombe getötet worden sei. Zwei ZivilistInnen seien ebenfalls getötet worden:

A Nangarhar tribal elder was killed in a roadside blast on Sunday morning, the provincial governor's media office said in a statement. According to the statement, the incident occurred in Arghach area of Khogyani district when Shern Agha, a tribal elder, along with two other civilians, was driving to Nangarhar city in a Toyota Corolla.” (Tolo News, 30. Juli 2017)

Tolo News erwähnt im Jänner 2017, dass im Distrikt Kot in Nangarhar Aufständische des Islamischen Staates mindestens 60 Häuser in Brand gesetzt hätten:

Daesh militants set fire to at least 60 houses on Friday in Kot district of Nangarhar province, local officials said.” (Tolo News, 14. Jänner 2017)
