Krio tribe, particularly in the town of Kalia; relationship to SLPP and name of current and former hereditary chief in Kalia [SLE39564.E]

No mention of the Krio tribe could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. Attached, however, is a list of districts, chiefdoms, headquarters, towns and chiefs. The Krio tribe is not among this list (Ethnologue Jan. 2002).

Details on the Krio language, however, were found at Ethnologue. A list of languages and a description of Krio is also attached.
