No information about a political movement called Labour Alliance (Alianza Unionista, AU) could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. In 9 April 2003 correspondence, the Director of the National Registry of Electoral Management of Colombia (Gestion Electoral Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil de Colombia) had no information about a political movement called Alianza Unionista. However, the Director stated that a group named the Unionist Movement (Movimiento Unionista, MU) was a registered political party.

Information about the MU was scarce among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. According to the Electionworld Website, the MU won two seats in the Chamber of Representatives and one seat in the Senate during the 2002 elections in Colombia (16 March 2003).

No further information about the MU could be found within time constraints.
