Document #1333385
IRB – Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (Author)
According to an official of the Embassy of
Suriname in Washington (16 Oct. 1992), Suriname does not allow dual
nationality. This was corroborated by a consular official at the
Consul General of Guyana in Toronto who stated that a Guyanese
would have to renounce his/her Guyanese nationality in order to
become a national of Suriname (26 Oct. 1992).
The DIRB in Ottawa has no further
information on this subject at the present time.
