Information on the citizenship of a person born between 1910 and 1920 Pristan Korsakovo, district of Amurskaya in the Far East, whose parents' nationality is unknown and who moved to Georgia in the 1940s, married a Georgian, used her husband's name on all her personal documents, obtained an internal passport in Georgia in 1979 stating that she was born in Russia and is a Russian national, and obtained an external passport issued in Georgia in 1992, stating that her place of birth is Georgia [RUS16464.E]

The representative of the consular section of the Embassy of Russia in Ottawa stated to the DIRB that all requests concerning Russian nationality must be individually presented at the consulate by the person concerned and must be accompanied by all relevant documents (21 Jan. 1994). The DIRB was unable to receive an answer to the above question from the Russian Consulate in Ottawa.
