Poland, please consult page 972 of Country Reports 1996,
which is available at Regional Documentation Centres, and Responses
to Information Requests POL27891.E of 3 October 1997 and POL27892.E
of 6 October 1997. The 25 August 1997 Inter Press Service article
states, "In Poland, the Committee [U.N. Committee on the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination] said, numerous cases of
racist violence against the Jewish and gypsy minorities have been
reported."
Additional information on the
above-mentioned topic could not be found among the sources
consulted by the Research Directorate.
