Information on whether inhabitants of Moldova are permitted to take their birth certificates when exiting Moldova and whether they require permission from the authorities to do so and, if so, on the requirements that must be met before permission is granted; on whether it is possible to obtain certified copies of original birth certificates or other identification documents that are held by the police; on whether it is possible to obtain another original birth certificate or other identification document when the original is held by the police or has been lost and, if so, on whether there are any requirements that must be met before a person is issued another original document [MDA21996.E]
