Tengku Datuk Mahmud Mansor was the deputy minister of agriculture in Malaysia in 1999 (New Straits Times 17 Feb. 1999; Investors Digest 16 Mar. 1999; Ministry of Agriculture n.d.a). Mohammed Shariff bin Omar was the deputy minister of agriculture in Malaysia in 2000 (ibid.; ibid. n.d.b; Government of Malaysia n.d.). The sources do not indicate when the succession occurred, but the last parliamentary election took place on 28 and 29 November 1999 (Elections Around the World 8 July 2000).
