According to a representative of the Consulate of Egypt in Montréal, Egyptian nationals can hold another country's nationality without having to renounce their Egyptian nationality (14 July 1992). A representative of the Embassy of Egypt in Ottawa corroborated the general principle of the above-mentioned information, but stated that there are several conditions required before being able to hold multiple nationality status (Ibid.).
