Excise official in Vancouver, the M.V. Maritime Integrity
docked in Vancouver on 22 October 1992 at 14h49. The ship was
registered in Panama, had a crew of mostly Malaysian and Chinese
sailors and its port of departure was Tonda in Japan.
This response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does
not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular
claim to refugee status or asylum.
