Information additional to the August 1993 DIRB Question and Answer Series paper entitled Iran: Political Opposition, on the number of supporters, inside and outside Iran, of the Organization for Human Rights and Fundamental Liberties for Iran (OHRFLI), also known as the Kaviyani Banner Organization and the Flag of Freedom [IRN15292]

Sources available to the DIRB do not provide information on the number of supporters of the Organization for Human Rights and Fundamental Liberties for Iran (OHRFLI), also know as the Kaviyani Banner Organization and the Flag of Freedom. However, a Kaviyani radio broadcast, monitored by the BBC, reports on "widespread people's demonstrations against the Islamic Republic regime" in Tehran during which people chanted slogans in favour of the Kaviyani Banner Organization (27 Aug. 1991).

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
