Confirmation of membership in the police department in Dushanbe of certain individuals (2005) [TJK100697.E]

A Dushanbe-based representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), "the leading international organization" working on migration issues (IOM n.d.), contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) office in Dushanbe on behalf of the Research Directorate for this Response. According to this IOM representative, the MIA was unable to confirm whether the individuals named in the Information Request are members of a police department in Dushanbe due to an insufficient amount of identifying information (IOM 8 Nov. 2005).

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim for refugee protection. Please find below the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
