According to the Encyclopedia of the
Third World, the Kotoko, estimated to be around 23,000 people,
live in northern Cameroon (1992, 308), but are also found in
Nigeria and Chad. No information on its relationship with the
government could be found among the sources consulted by the
Research Directorate. For additional information on the Kotoko,
