The following information was provided during a telephone interview on 18 December 1995 with the Chairman of the Constitutionalist Movement of Iran in Western Canada.

Mashal started its operations publicly in Germany with limited resources. Mashal has no office in Paris.

Members of the group are ex-army officers who are hard-line followers of the Shah and of the monarchist movement. Their leader is known as Zia Gholamreza.
