Information on whether there is a "Sekpele" language spoken in the Volta Region of Ghana and the ethnic group that speaks it [GHA17078.E]

According to Ethnologue: Languages of the World, Sekpele (identified as 53 on the map of Ghana) is one of the numerous languages spoken in the Volta Region of Ghana (1992, 264). The language is spoken north of Hohoe in southeastern Ghana by a group called Likpe (Mu) (ibid., 270). Sekpele is spoken by 15,000 people and belongs to the Niger-Congo family of African languages. The DIRB is unable to corroborate this information at the present time.
