IRB – Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (Author)
In 3 April 2003 correspondence, the Director of International Affairs (Directora de Asuntos Internacionales) at the Colombian Office of the Attorney General (Fiscalía General de la Nación) in Bogotá stated that complaints may be lodged verbally or in writing to the office. Persons lodging complaints will not systematically receive a record of their complaint, especially in those cases where the person made a verbal complaint (Colombia 3 Apr. 2003). In any case, the Director added that authentication of complaints of particular cases made to the office should be directed to the International Affairs Directorate (Dirección de Asuntos Internacionales) to confirm their veracity (ibid.).
