In a 14 March 2000 interview, the chief of the detachment of the Policia de la Provincia de Salta (Salta Provincial Police) located in General Mosconi stated that there is no police station at the following address: Coronel Cornejo, Regional Number 4, General Mosconi, Salta. However, the chief of police indicated that there is a police station in General Mosconi at avenida Sortu, esquina Doctora Mirta Garcia, General Mosconi, Salta. The Chief of Police further stated that there is no police station in Coronel Cornejo, merely a police post with which the General Mosconi detachment communicates by radio.

In a 13 March 2000 interview, an auxilliary officer at the headquarters of the Policia de la Provincia de Salta stated that Antonio Guaymas was the chief of police in General Mosconi in 1999. The officer further stated that there is no narcotics division attached to the General Mosconi police station. According to the officer, the closest narcotics unit is based in Tartagal, Salta. This information was corroborated by the General Mosconi chief of police (14 Mar. 2000).
