The Research Directorate sent the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) an Internet e-mail on 20 May 1998 to enquire whether it had published an 18 March 1992 report entitled Human Rights Update: Bulletin of the Civil Liberties Organisation on the Massive Arrest and Deportation of Chadian Citizens in Borno State. To date, neither confirmation of receipt of the letter nor a response has been received by the Research Directorate.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints.
