Current issues dealt with by the Comité Permanente de Derechos Humanos de Nicaragua (CPDH). [NIC8683]

As per our telephone conversation, please find attached a
copy of three written communications sent to the IRBDC by the
CPDH in 1990 and 1991. These respond to questions forwarded by
the IRBDC, mostly dealing with the military service and
conscription, a new law governing the Armed Forces and a rural
service for students. Also attached, please find a copy of a
section of a directory of Latin American Human Rights
Organizations providing information on the CPDH, including its
membership and activities.
As indicated by telephone, the IRBDC is awaiting a response
from the CPDH on the question of the issues with which that
organization is currently dealing with. The IRBDC will
immediately forward to you any response received.
