Reports from the Party of the Democratic Revolution (Partido de la Revolución Democrática, PRD) on an incident published in El Sol de Acapulco in early January 2002 concerning alleged threats against a PRD activist in the Acapulco area [MEX40388.E]

During telephone interviews of 20, 22 and 29 January 2003, the human rights department of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (Partido de la Revolución Democrática, PRD) headquarters in Mexico City stated that it did not have reports on the incident described in the Information Request and was unable to verify its publication or occurrence within the time constraints of this Response.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
