There is a shooting range in the town of Mytishchi, Moscow Region, northeast of Moscow called "Dinamo" (Traveller's Yellow Pages n.d.; The Russia Journal n.d.; Moscow Times 26 Apr. 2000). The town is accessible from Moscow by commuter train and the range is located at: 1a Silikatnaya ul, Mytishchi; tel: 583-8388 (The Russia Journal n.d; Traveller's Yellow Pages, n.d.).

The Russia Journal describes Dinamo's services as follows: "semi-open gallery and range for clay pigeon and target shooting," while the Traveller's Yellow Pages states that the range offers trench and round shooting and that all weapons can be used. According to The Russia Journal, individuals need a hunter's club membership and licence to use the facilities (n.d.).

The Moscow Times reporter stated that the operation is open to the public; he was unaware of any particular connection between the facility and organized crime or the militia (26 Apr. 2000).

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
