Two police officers in Russia's southern republic of Daghestan have been killed in an attack by armed militants.
Law enforcement sources quoted by Russian news agencies say the pair died of gunshot wounds when their vehicle came under fire on a road in the republic's Tsuntinsky district.
A third officer was severely injured.
An investigation is under way.
