Information on the punishment for someone who had deserted the former Yugoslavian army, had a military warrant against him, and then left Macedonia and has since returned [MCD15237]

There is very little information on Macedonia in the sources regularly consulted by the DIRB. Please refer to Response to Information Request YUG10630 of 8 April 1992 which states that Macedonia was one republic which refused to conscript their youths and reserve soldiers [in 1991] into the Yugoslav National Army. For information on the Macedonian military, you may wish to consult Response to Information Request MCD14984 of 10 August 1993.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints.
