Business holdings and position of businessman John Kresz in Hungarian society [HUN33249.E]

No recent information on a businessman by the name of John Kresz could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

However, a 3 October 1993 report in The Financial Post states that Hungarian-born John Kresz left his native country in 1957 and established himself in Manitoba. He worked as a labourer in Flin Flon, as an X-ray technician in Winnipeg and founded the Sooter Photo Inc., a chain of photo processing stores which had franchises all over Canada. The report also states that businessman John Kresz had resettled in Hungary where he began to sell franchises for his chain of photo shops (ibid.).
