The information available to the DIRB on the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA) dates back to 1988. According to Revolutionary and Dissident Movements, a member of the INLA was sentenced to 40 years for reportedly committing "terrorist crimes" in Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland (1991, 163).

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
