Information on the current status of a political movement called "Democratic Union" [BYS12580]

In addition to the information on the Democratic Union, in Response to Information Request SUN11500 of 21 August 1992, please refer to attached article which was published in the Polish News Bulletin of 2 February 1993. This article refers to the Belorussian Democratic Union as a political party representing the Belorussian minority in Poland (Ibid.). The Belorussian Democratic Party was established in 1990 and is linked to the Belorussian Popular Front, which was once an underground organization operating in Belarus (Ibid.).

Additional and/or corroborating information on above subject could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.
