The attached 10 June 1996 press release
from the American Jewish Committee states that "an American Jewish
Committee-sponsored poll, conducted in January 1996, found that the
Russian masses exhibit relatively low levels of hostility toward
Jews at present."
Also Attached please find excerpts of the
report entitled Antisemitism World Report 1995 published
by the Institute of Jewish Affairs and the American Jewish
Committee. The attached excerpts provide information on racism and
xenophobia in Russia and on the activities of antisemitic groups in
1994.
