The Educational Workers' National Labour Union (Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación, SNTE) Section 24 (Sección 24), which corresponds to the state of Queretaro, indicates that delegation III-8 is part of its section's Region VIII (see attached map) (SNTE 12 Oct. 2002). The SNTE Section 24 names Hector Garcia Luevano as the union's secretary and representative for the III-8 delegation (Delegacíon III-8 or D-III-8), pointing out that he is a special education employee, and that his delegation has 19 male and 87 female union members (ibid.).

Published references to a march involving SNTE members in Queretaro in support of the UNAM strike in February 2000, or to the targeting of SNTE members in Queretaro, could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
