Information on the fate of the Kuwaiti military after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait [KWT12006]

According to a representative of Asia Watch in New York, some members of the defeated Kuwaiti army fled to Saudi Arabia. Those left behind either gave themselves up to the Iraqis after the August 1990 invasion, resumed civilian life or joined the underground resistance (Asia Watch 19 Oct. 1992).

No additional and/or corroborating information is currently available to the DIRB in Ottawa.
