According to Bell Canada's telephone
assistance there is no entry for the Iranian Monarchist Council of
Canada in Willowdale.
The following information was provided
during 4 September 1997 telephone interviews with the Canadian
representatives in Washington, DC and Vancouver of the
Constitutionalist Movement of Iran (CMI). The CMI is a monarchist
movement that works for the restoration of a monarchy in Iran.
According to both sources, the Iranian
Monarchist Council of Canada no longer operates or exists in
Canada.
The following information was provided
during a 4 September 1997 telephone inquiry with Link Community
Information, a community organization that provides free
information about public services available in the North York and
Toronto regions, as well as information on associations across
Canada. Link Community Information is funded by the North York
Public Library and has an extensive database of government,
community associations and Non-Governmental Organizations
(NGOs).
The inquiries conducted by Link Community
Information did not find any reference to the Iranian Monarchist
Council of Canada.
The following information was provided
during a 4 September 1997 inquiry with the North York Public
Library Business and Urban Affairs.
The representative of the North York Public
Library Business and Urban Affairs did not find any reference on
the Iranian Monarchist Council of Canada in the following sources:
The Canadian Almanac (1997) and The Associations of
Canada (1997).
The following information was provided
during a 4 September 1997 inquiry with the North York Public
Library Info-Line.
The representative of the North York Public
Library Info-Line did not find any reference on the Iranian
Monarchist Council of Canada in the following sources: The
International Encyclopedia of Associations (1997-1998),
The Encyclopedia of International Organizations
(1997-1998) and The Directory of Associations in Canada
(1997-1998).
None of the above-mentioned sources knew
whether the Iranian Monarchist Council of Canada had ever been
officially registered in Canada.

researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does
