Information on the above subject is currently unavailable to the IRBDC. However, the following information may be noteworthy. Quoting Asia Watch, Inter Press Service reports that the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has been "effectively destroyed" (31 Jan. 1992, 1).
Attached please find articles on the suppression of the JVP in the period September to December 1991.
