The only references specifically referring
to radio stations in Lima as targets of attacks in 1987 found among
the sources currently available to the IRBDC state, without naming
the targeted media, that six radio stations were occupied on 19
February 1987. The available sources report that members of the
Movimiento Revolucionario Túpac Amaru (MRTA) occupied six
radio stations in Lima and forced them to broadcast a message of
the movement (Index on Censorship Apr. 1987, 38; Latin
American Newsletters 5 Mar. 1987, 12).
Additional and/or corroborating information
could not be found among the sources currently available to the
IRBDC.
