Escapes from Kokolo military camp [RDC29525.E]

There are no reports of any escape from Kokolo military camp in the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. During a 5 June 1998 telephone, the president of la Voix des sans voix pour les droits de l'homme (VSV), one of the most important human rights organizations in Kinshasa explained that Kokolo is the biggest military camp in Kinshasa with some maximum security detention centres. However, he indicated that his organization is not aware of any documented case of escape from those centres.
