Information on the Sharbohara group [BGD14060]

Information on the Sharbohara group could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB. However, please find attached the most recent information available to the DIRB on the Sarbahara Party (which means "party of have-nots") contained in Response to Information Request BGD13907 of 14 April 1993 and its attachments. In addition, please find attached an article from Reuters of 6 March 1993 which describes the leftist Sarbahara Party as the largest among the country's half-a-dozen groups. The same article reports that the Sarbahara Party has killed more than 300 people in the last three years (Ibid.).

Additional and/or corroborating information on this subject is currently unavailable to the DIRB.
