In a telephone interview on 5 April 1995, a
representative of the Kuwaiti Association to Defend War Victims
(KADWV) stated that his organization was not aware of any arrest or
detention in 1994 of Bedoons suspected of supporting Iraq during
the Iraqi invasion. The representative added that KADWV was
informed of some cases where Bedoons were asked to go to a police
station in order to clarify their identity; once the interrogation
was completed, they were free to go (ibid).
