The attached reports provide information on the treatment of students and student groups and opposition political parties by the Nepali government since 1990. Amnesty International Report (1991-95) and Country Reports on Human Rights Practices (1990-95), which are available in Regional Documentation Centres, provide additional information on the above-mentioned subject.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
