The following information was provided in a letter dated 10 April 1996, which was sent to the DIRB by the general secretary of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Lahore:

It may be noted for information that Ch. Mansur Ahmad has retired as General Secretary, Mian Fakhar-ud-Din had taken over the charge of the office for interm period (from Oct. 95 to Feb. 6, 1996). From then onward Prof. (Rtd.) Aziz Ahmad has been made the General Secretary of Ahmadiyya Anjuman, Lahore Pakistan.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
