At least eight people, including police officers, have been injured in a suicide attack on a police convoy in Pakistan's port city of Karachi.
Police officials said a car full of explosives struck the convoy on September 25.
Reports said the bombing apparently targeted Superintendent of Police Farooq Awan, whose vehicle was destroyed in the attack.
On September 23, a suicide car bombing apparently targeting a senior police officer in northwest Pakistan killed four people and wounded 13.
The officer -- Brigadier Khalid Javed, the second-most senior officer in the Frontier Constabulary force -- escaped unhurt.
