The DIRB was unable to locate currently
available information on whether the Soviet Union granted
protection to former members of the Najibullah regime. Attached
please find four reports on the whereabouts of Najibullah following
his ouster.
This response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the DIRB with time constraints. This response is not, and does not
purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim
