B’Tselem - Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories
B’Tselem is The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories was established in 1989 by a group of prominent academics, attorneys, journalists, and Knesset members. It endeavours to document and educate the Israeli public and policymakers about human rights violations in the Occupied Territories, combat the phenomenon of denial prevalent among the Israeli public, and help create a human rights culture in Israel. B'Tselem is independent and is funded by contributions from foundations in Israel, Europe, and North America that support human rights activity worldwide, and by private individuals in Israel and abroad. Website contains lots of information concerning human rights situation in Occupied Territories – there are Publications (Status Reports, Information Sheets, Summaries, etc), up-to-date Press Releases, Statistics (on Fatalities, Detainees and Prisoners, Injured Persons, etc), Testimonies and Links to other Israeli and Palestinian Human Rights sites. There are also sections containing information only on concrete problems: Palestinian Violence, Use of Firearms, Beating and Abuse, Restrictions on Movement, Israeli Settlements, Separation Barrier, East Jerusalem, The Gaza Strip, Demolition for Alleged Military Purpose, Administrative Detention, Residency Rights and Deportation, Land and Water, etc. Language: English.
