Russia Says U.S.-Led Coalition Strike Killed 6 Civilians In Syria

Russia says a U.S.-led coalition air strike in the Syrian province of Aleppo has killed six civilians.

The Russian military says the October 18 strike on the village of Hassajek also wounded four people and destroyed two houses.

It also says it spotted two Belgian F-16 fighter jets over the area at the time of the strike, adding that there were "no Russian and Syrian air force planes in this region."

A Belgian Defense Ministry spokeswoman denied the country's air force was active in the area at the time.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow was waiting for an international condemnation of the strike.

Moscow announced on October 18 that the Russian and Syrian air forces had stopped bombing the besieged city of Aleppo to pave the way for an eight-hour truce on October 20.
