At Least Three Militants Killed In Shoot-Out In Daghestan

At least three people described as "militants" have been killed in a shoot-out with police in the Daghestani capital Makhachkala.
The gun battle started on the evening of December 13 when police were attempting to detain suspects.
The Daghestani Interior Ministry's press office said the militants "offered armed resistance" and were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
Local officials could not say if there were any more suspects.
No police officers were hurt.
