After the floods in Adjara on 7 October 2005, Turkish Red Cross sent relief aid; since then 3,000 food ratio was distributed to people in affected areas ("Georgia: Humanitarian and development update Nov 2005 (United Nations Country Team in Georgia)") [#40514],  [ID 5680]

"Turkish Red Cross Assistance
In response to the flooding in Adjara on 7 October 2005, the Turkish Red Crescent Society sent relief aid of four trailer trucks and a team of 12 disaster response and logistic specialists. Since the flooding in autumn, the Turkish Red Crescent Society sent 3,000 food ratio to the people living in the most affected locations in Akhmeta and Borjomi districts."
