During 2002, about 11,900 Armenians sought asylum in industrialized countries ("World Refugee Survey 2003") [#12983], [ID 3493]
"During 2002, about 11,900 Armenians sought asy-
lum in industrialized countries. In Europe, the largest num-
bers sought asylum in Austria (2,000), France (970), and
Germany (900). Another approximately 4,960 Armenians
sought asylum in the United States."
